You can try Project Online (Project Web App) free for one month: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/microsoft-365/project/project-plan-3?activetab=pivot:overviewtab

Project Server / Online specific solutions built using CSOM will typically work both on premises Project Server 2013, 2016, 2019, Subscription version and Project Online as the CSOM APIs are pretty much the same.
