Protecting MS Project data for use in Power BI
Hello,
In my organization, all staff have a Project Essential license to fill in time sheets but unfortunately this gives them access to a link that allows them to use MS project data in a Power BI file. Is it possible to cut off access to their data via MS project? Or through Power BI?
Thank you for your time
Duyck_Guillaume Yes, it's possible. If you can I'd advise you try this in a test environment first.
- Go to Server Settings
- Under Security click Manage Groups.
- Click and open Team Members group.
- Go to Categories section and select My Tasks.
- Go to the Global Permissions Table, find the General section.
- Find Access Project Server Reporting Service option and uncheck Allow/Deny checkboxes.
- Click Save
- If you are using other Groups repeat the previous steps to ensure you disable this permission.
