Project Online Desktop Client & Project for the Web

You are not able to connect Microsoft Project Online Desktop Client to a Project for the web project. All you can do is import a project desktop client project into Project for the web: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/move-your-project-from-project-desktop-to-project-for-the-web-143ab391-002e-451a-aedb-3b6fa1f6ab8b
