Project for the Web (P4W) Baselines or Due Dates
Hey All, Are baselines or due dates planned for P4W? Do we know when they will be added? Is there a workaround in the meantime? Related question: where does the data for the custom columns ...

StellaSalom Thank you for the response as i was looking into the baseline option for Project for the Web. I was able to see this feature within P4W and notice that it only captures Start, Finish. Duration, and Effort for the project, is there any functionality to review the baseline dates for the individual tasks by chance? Having this would allow it to be easier to see what task(s) have caused an delay or improvement in the project finish date.

As it currently exists, the Baseline feature in P4TW only captures baseline information at the Project level, and DOES NOT capture task level baseline information. Sorry, but hope this helps.- Divya_PrasadJun 07, 2024Copper Contributor
How can I bring the baseline start and finish dates to power BI? It is mentioned in a Microsoft's article that these data are stored in Dataverse. Can someone tell me the column name of baseline start and finish dates in Dataverse?
- StellaSalomJun 03, 2024Copper ContributorThat is a great question! and I agree it would be a great capability. I don't work for Microsoft, but from what I can tell that functionality doesn't currently exist.
Of note, if you set your baseline and then add a note to it later, it actually wipes out your preset baseline. It looks like a bug that was likely missed in testing. Hopefully, Microsoft is working on fixing that as well.- ChadMcKJun 03, 2024Copper ContributorUnderstood, didn't know if i was missing something within P4W. Hopefully this is something that can/will be incorporated someday.
Also i see what you are referring to on the note issue. It appears that it changes the baseline information, but on my test i see the finish date still stays the same as the original baseline. If i adjust the duration of the task that showed the increase to take it out and then add it back the baseline then shows being behind as expected. So definitely a bug of sorts.
