Project for the web - task editing permission ?

We are using Project for the Web. Is it possible to configure it to adhere to the following principles?

  1. All end users participating in the project can see all tasks.
  2. They are only allowed to edit tasks they are assigned to. For tasks they are not assigned to, they can only view and cannot edit.
  3. If it's possible to set up editing permissions, could you specify the details? (e.g., allowed to assign additional people to tasks but not edit duration, % complete, start_date, end_date)

If Project for the Web does not meet these three requirements, can Project Online fulfill them?

  • P4W cannot fulfil those requirements as it stands now. Project online would be able to do them but the last item is not very clear to me

      Thanks malshayeb;
      About the last item: What I mean is: Is it possible to grant permissions on a per-task basis, allowing for specific read-write-update-delete rights on individual columns of the task table? For example, Task A is assigned to User A, and I want to set it up so that User A is only allowed to edit the %complete column but not allowed to edit the duration, start_date, end_date and or other custom columns that I created.

        ok, not in project online you field level permission is not supported, so if a user have access to edit task they can edit the custom fields also.
