Project for the Web - delete M365 group link from the project in P4W
A project in project for the web has the wrong M365 group linked to it. This needs to be antoher group. How can a link between a project and a M365 group be deleted? It seems not possible. Co-pilot answer gives a non excisting solution (via Settings -> Project Permissions, but there is no Project Persmissions option in real world.
You have options, but they vary based on whether the project was created in the default environment, Project Accelerator, or uses a group for Teams.
Default environment - If the group used is NOT a Teams group, you can go to Azure and delete it, then create/assign a new group. Make sure you understand the impacts of deleting the group so you don't cause bigger problems. I would also export all the members before you delete it so you can add them back to the new group.
Project Accelerator - Open project, go to Summary tab then on the General page remove the group from the Owner field. Everyone will lose access until you create, or assign a new group in the Task grid. It may take 30-90 minute before you can create/assign another group, or at least that's what we have seen. FYI - You cannot add the group directly to the Owner field.

RodFromm it happens to be a Teams group in default environment. The configuration is custom. I have deleted the group form the owner-field in the record of the project in the Project-app in PowerApps. In P4W in the browser (where the team link is made), I still see the linked team. It seems the only solution is to delete the project and create a new one (just because someone linked the wrong group)?
