Another attempt to get right on the issue, not having more data, is the situation in which the % completed of the project is lower than what could be expected, although it is progressing as scheduled and without delays to the Status Date, as shown in the picture.
This is because, as has been frequently mentioned, the formula for the % completed of a subtask summary task is:
100 x Sum of actual subtask durations / Sum of subtask durations
And the actual duration of the summary task is:
% summary task completed x summary task duration / 100
