MS Project Error "only allow actual work to be entered by team members"
Whenever I try to alter a work schedule date then I am getting this error message - "We can't make that change because Project Web App is set to allow actual work to be entered by team members through timesheets or my work.". Kindly assist in resolving this error.

Your error message indicates that your Project Online administrator has configured your system so that updates to a project MUST be entered by team members on the Timesheet page in PWA. With this setting in place, the only action you are allowed to do in the project is to mark milestones as 100% complete.
By the way, in my opinion, the setting in question is way too restrictive for most organizations using Project Online. It takes great PM maturity to make this setup work with Project Online, and most organizations simply do not have this maturity.
If you feel your Project Online administrator made a mistake in setting the Timesheet updates only option, I recommend you speak with him/her about this problem. Hope this helps.
