MS Project 2019 hangs when save-as PDF to network share

Have tested multiple times with both new & old mpp files.

There is no issue saving the mpp file to a network share, however when selecting save-as PDF or export-as PDF to the same network share, Project hangs and just leaves a .tmp file in the destination folder. Project has to be forced to shut down, no error message displayed.

Save-as PDF (or export-as PDF) to the local hard drive works without issue.

Have tested with a different user, same result.

Think I have eliminated the server as the root cause. Firstly, same thing happens to two different file shares on two different servers. I also created a new share granting full permissions to the end-user, and the problem persists.

Using Word, Excel, Powerpoint save-as PDF option all work with no issue on the same file share, problem appears isolated to Project.
