Migrating from Project Server 2010 to 2016
Hi All,
We are having an instance of Project Server 2010 which we need to migrate to Project Server 2016. There are around 655 projects and 1550 users in this instance. Please could you help us in calculating the cost estimation for this upgrade.
Hello Komal_Agarwal ,
Giving a cost estimate here is not going to be possible as we would need to understand specifics around the set up. One of the big factors would be if you are doing the upgrade yourself or working with a 3rd party.
To upgrade from Project Server 2010 to Project Server 2016, the 2010 database needs to be upgraded to Project Server 2013 first then Project Server 2016. How come you are not upgrading to Project Server 2019? Project Server 2016 mainstream support ends in July this year: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-gb/lifecycle/products/project-server-2016
where as Project Server 2019 mainstream support ends in Jan 2024: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-gb/lifecycle/products/project-server-2019
Many thanks
