Material resource not spreading over task duration when changing work resources
Project works that way, and it's not a configuration issue, nor a corruption issue.
If you want you can try to redistribute the material resources again in the task duration time, based only on the work time of the non-material resources.
As a suggestion, I would set all material resource allocations to zero and re-assign the previous amounts.
To make this procedure easier, first make a backup of your file and load a Resource Usage view that includes the columns: Work and Resource Type (Insert Column).
With all allocations displayed, show only all Material Type resources with the automatic filter in the Resource Type column title area.
Copy the entire Work column to the clipboard (Copy to Column Title)
Set all Work to 0 by selecting the Work column and: Task > Edit > Clear > Clear All .
Select the Work column and Paste.
Remove the Material Type filter.
And that's it.
