Managing Changes in Project Planning with Microsoft Project

If in the planning of a project in Project I need to remove tasks and create new ones that replace the previous ones, how should I do it so that the change is reflected in the planning and this change is reflected in the overall delay?

    Good question. Take a look at my YouTube video on how to cancel unneeded tasks if you have the Professional version of Microsoft Project:

    https://youtu.be/8vjdEYltH6o

    If you have the Standard version of Microsoft Project, then take a look at this video instead:

    If you have already Baselined your project, you should NEVER delete baselined tasks, and should cancel them instead using one of the two methods shown in the YouTube videos. Hope this helps.

      Hi Dale;

      Thanks for your answer but what if I'm using MS Project for the Web?

      Regards;

        Well, if you are using Project for the Web, then neither of the options I shared will work for you, as those features are not available in Project for the Web. Out of curiosity, what is driving your need to delete existing tasks and replace them with new tasks? I ask because there are no features in Project for the Web that will help you with this need. Let us know and we will try to help you.
