Indent/group tasks MS Project Online

Thank you,

Is it possible to indent tasks to group them under a macro task?

How do I connect the desktop App to the online service? I tried using the url provided on the online service (not the actual url displayed on the address bar), but it doesn't work.

Thank you again

Leonel

To create summary tasks in Microsoft Project, watch the following video:

Regarding connecting your copy of Microsoft Project to Project Online, tell your application administrator that you need to be a member of the Project Managers security group.

Also, if you are creating your project from a Planner list, that is a problem. There is no way to export a Planner project to the Microsoft Project desktop application.

Also, when you are talking about "Project Online", are you sure you are not talking about Project for the Web instead? Many people are mixing up these two applications. The URL for Project for the Web includes the following: project.microsoft.com. Does that look like the URL you got from your company? If so, you CANNOT connect your Microsoft Project desktop application to Project for the Web, as they are two completely different applications. Hope this helps.

I do not understand your first question. Would you please give us more information, including a screenshot if possible?

Regarding your second question, refer to the following YouTube video:

    Hope this helps.

      Thank you very.

I want to know how to create a summary task using Project Online. I didn't know that's the right name. Something like this.

Thank you for the video (Nice channel!). I tried that. I get the URL from the company I work for, but I get the message "Project was unable to establish a connection with ...". I guess it's a matter of access permissions. I'll check that with my employer.

Another possibly important piece of info is that I'm creating this project from a Planner list from MS Teams. I don't know if that's a problem.

      Thank you again!
