How to update with new or another Site URL in Connected SharePoint site

Hi Team,

Hope you`re doing well ...!

We have a portal that is integrated with SharePoint and Project Online.

so we would like to improve the performance of the actual SP site.

we have many Closed Projects, each site or project is having an associated Collaboration site.

Here we would like to archive all the closed sites and update the archival URL in the Actual(production )site.

I can not update with another URL other than the current production root site.

any suggestion on how can I update the archival site?
