Also, I forgot to mention that each facultative decision should be represented by a milestone task. When the decision is made, whether Yes or No, add a note to the respective milestone task to document who made the decision, the date the decision was made, the result of the decision, and why the decision was made. This way, you will have an "electronic paper trail" of each of these important decisions. Hope this helps.
