How to add column in Project for the web app
- Apr 05, 2023
Hello Nat37 ,
If you used the 2nd link to add the new columns to the Dataverse tables, these will be accessible in Power BI. Here is an article on how to add new columns to the Power BI template / report: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/extend-the-power-bi-template-for-project-for-the-web-23fb86a7-e1b2-45fc-b82b-8f64ae44c51c

Sorry for the confusion.
I am using the "Project for the Web application," and whose URL is ending with Dynamics.com
Hello Nat37 ,
Here are some guides on adding custom columns.
If this is just for one project in the Project UI: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/create-a-custom-field-in-project-839d206f-b314-48f5-aa06-79140db93b94
If you want this for all projects and in the Model driven app UI: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/project-for-the-web/add-custom-column-project-power-app

- Nat37Apr 05, 2023Copper ContributorThanks Paul,
I was able to add data for my new field using the UI:second link you provided.
My dataverse is linked with Power BI and I have refreshed both but I don't see this new column in my dashboard being added to Projects table yet. Any advice on that?- Paul_MatherApr 05, 2023MVP
