Having problem with linking the tasks in project tool

In Ms Project, the Duration of a Summary task is the difference in working time, shown by default in working days, between its Start date and its Finish date, counted in the calendar assigned to that summary task, by default the Project Calendar .
The Start date of a Summary task is the earliest Start date of all the tasks it groups together.
The Finish date of a Summary task is the latest finish date of all the tasks it groups together.
Logically, a task that has a higher outline level than another that is next in the list is a Summary task, and is shown by default in bold.
Optionally, you can insert the Outline Level column in the task table, or the Outline Number to check it.
