I'm sorry you are having difficulty trying to decode my address. Take another look at what I provided, there is no "john.project". If and when you figure it out do NOT post it to this, or any other, forum.

Thank's a lot for your answer. The two files are very long (around 600 row each) and it's impossible to insert both project in only one. I have to try the VBA thing!! I learned it (long time ago) and hope I will find the way to write and insert it in the project.

Impossible? I don't think so. A Project file with 600 task rows is not a large file and there should be no reason why two such files couldn't be inserted into a static master.
Nonetheless, if you want to go the VBA route and need some help, let me know.

I did not receive an e-mail from you. Compare my encoded e-mail to a normal e-mail address, that should help you figure out what my address is.

I send you an email and I didn't Know if you recieved it. (Maybe a mistake in your email adress).
I would like to have a VBA programme that put a 0 in the data "Work" on the RTP file on MS project. And then put the RemaingingWork of the Master file in the same line on the RTP file.
The tasks concerned are the tasks with the field "Code task" fill with "Valid". See the picture enclose.

I got a little "break in the action" so I'll give a quick reply.
You're right, having a resource pool file shouldn't impact what you are trying to do but many times a user poses a question without giving us full "disclosure" on their file structure and often it can make a big difference on how we respond.
You might want to try contacting me directly again now that I explained how to un-encode my address. If you need help with your macro code I'll need to see what you have.
For reference I'm in the United States. I assume you are in France so we have about a 9 hour difference and yes, that does mean a limited window for communication.

We use a "Ressource file" but I think that it doesn't matter for the job.
I begin to do VBA, and it's not a total mess.
I have some difficulty to erase the wrong "remaining work" on RTP file... and to replace it.

Juste for my curiosity, where you come from? - Nicolas,
I encode my e-mail to thwart SPAM bots. Instead of the @ I spell it out ("at") but duplicate it as part of the encoding. I also duplicate the normal "." as part of the encoding.
I opened the files you zipped and posted. You didn't mention you are also using a resource pool. I'm committed on other tasks this morning so it may be a while before I can comment further.

We have around 15 people (RTP) who work on 20 projects (in total). One or two by RTP. All the RTP don't have exactly the same format but the main informations are presents.
For my point of vew, I should work with the solution N°2 : "Create two schedules and link the Master schedule with the task address in the RTP file." with a marco to have the good "remaining work". I have to keep RTP files and one validation file, and no additionnal file.
I am sorry but I can't send you the original files. Just the simplifided files.

I don't think we're quite on the same "page" with respect to creating the static master. First of all I was under the impression you had one RTP file and one validation file. Having 20 RTP files does increase the size but it would NOT have any impact on the size of the validation file. All 20 RTP files AND the validation file would be inserted into a separate master file, so that file would have 120,000 task lines plus however many task lines are in the validation file. That would be a very large file but nothing that Project could not handle.
However, given that new information, if I were trying to do what you want to do I would definitely go with a VBA approach. Would you be willing to send your files to me (one RTP and the validation file)? Then we could work one-on-one. You can contact me at the address below. I will ask some questions.
