Filter Creation
Try this 2-step approach.
- Create a flag with the formula shown below
2. Use this newly created flag in your filter criteria.
Save the View and anytime you open it, it should only show you Tasks that are in-progress.

Unless I'm missing something, this does the same thing as the built-in "In Progress Tasks" filter.

Thank you PlannersPlace and John-project for taking the time to respond. However, PlannersPlace's filter uses % Complete, and I don't plan to update that field.
Also, the built in In Progress Tasks filter uses the Actual Start and Actual Finish fields, which I don't plan to update. I want to use Start and Finish, but when I edit the In Progress Task filter and change the field names to Start and Finish, it doesn't highlight or filter. If you don't mind, give it a shot on your end and see if you get a different result.
