Capacity Planning issue
- Jan 06, 2022
I had logged a call with Microsoft. The below steps helped me resolve the issue:
- PWA Change the capacity planning ahead of 6 months and 4 months before.
- Go to the production APP site setting -> Site collection features
- Disable the Project webapp and setting site collection feature of the PWA and then again enable it
- Ran the following command to check the provisioning state of the PWA get-spprojectwebinstances
- The main PWA provisioning state should be online now.
- After That run the project resource planning sync timer job by going to the Central Admin->Monitoring->Job definition
- Check the resource planning sync job in PWA queue job ,
- Cancel all the failed and blocked jobs.
- Then wait for some time to let this resource planning sync job to success.
Hi AmitWairkar1 ,
Regarding the data in the resource table, this will be updated either when the resource is edited in the enterprise resource pool or with the resource capacity sync job that runs once a day.

Hello AmitWairkar1 ,
The job will run on a schedule once a day - check tomorrow if you changed the setting today.

Paul - I had changed the settings yesterday and the overnight run went successfully, but still it is showing capacity till 30th April'21. I tried it on the test server and prod server both. But yet it is showing the same date.
I have also attached the message that I am receiving in Capacity Planning for a resource and the settings that I have done in the Resource Capacity Settings.

AmitWairkar1 i have the same problem.
One of my users is trying to use the Capacity Planning and he get's the same message.
I am the administrator and i've configured it for over a week on PWA Aditional Server Settings with 12 months behind and another 12 months ahead... but the problem persists.
Really don't know what else to do.
Could someone please help?
