Automatic backup of mpp files

We would like the mpp file from our project professional/ or project online to be saved at a one drive location every time the project is published. Please let us know if we can use power automate/ or any other tools to accomplish this?

    Hello meghabawa ,

    You might be able to use / adapt the script here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/projectonline/export-user-data-from-project-online  - worth noting is that you can open the MPP files but it is not supported to save these back to Project Online - I've copied the note from the link above:
    "You can open the .mpp file with Project Professional 2019, Project Professional 2016, or the Project Online Desktop client. Saving the exported .mpp files back to Project Online or Project Server is not supported"

    Otherwise you could probably create a VBA script that executed on publish and saved a copy of the project as .mpp
