Agile Sprints not working (Sprints tab shows as blank) in Project Professional O365 2306

This seems to have occurred (for me anyway) in one of the June 2023 recent updates in the 2306 O365 update. I know current licensing now is either Desktop or Cloud and only the Cloud apps have Agile, but instances of Project Professional (desktop/on premise) 2019 and 2021 were supported from purchase until recently with Agile and sprint functionality. It's pretty annoying when you're running multiple Agile delivery schedules and your teams lose the boards, sprint tagging and all the Agile functionality and content. These desktop instances of MS project always get forgotten in O365 testing it seems? It used to be that you could add an Online account and I believe adding a SharePoint link would also fix this for a matching business license/email account. But otherwise, the only fix when there's an O365 issue is to switch to what now seems to be called a Cloud option i.e. Plan3/5 - has Online in the product description. Pretty sure this means the desktop license and install has to removed prior to Cloud install. Pretty annoying and I don't want to run a portfolio from a cloud based app. Is there another solution apart from rolling back the O365 build e.g. Sharepoint?

To the best of my knowledge, only Project Online Professional (the M365 cloud-based tool) offers the Agile sprints functionality. I realize how frustrating this might be for you, as I experienced the same thing at my previous employer. I was not able to see the Agile sprints functionality when they gave me Microsoft Project 2019 (the perpetual license software), but WAS able to see the Agile sprints functionality when they replaced the software with Project Online Professional. Please keep in mind that I do not work for Microsoft, so I have no control over this functionality and how it is implemented. Hope this helps.

Hi Dale, thanks for your reply. The point is the Agile (Sprints and being able to select a new Sprint project) content should be present in 2019 and 2021 Pro. Microsoft should acknowledge this and fix in the next O365 build. Originally when the Web stuff was called Online you had to add a base Online account to a Project Pro 2019 to get this Agile functionality, add a SharePoint PWA link, or annoyingly switch to then Online/now Cloud Plan1/3/5. I'd like to know if a Cloud/Web Plan1 would fix this issue as it should be possible to add the Project Web App link back in if on the same account.

You may create custom tab with Sprint options in it.

Go to File-->Options and select Custom Ribbon. I'm not sure about the issue of Sprint tab disappearing but with custom tab, at least those options can be loaded back.

Also, the Sprint tab is visible by default if the project created as "Sprints Project" and not in "Blank Project"

    I hope it helps you.

Hi, thanks for your answer but to properly fix a PWA link e.g. web/cloud plan1 to get project online or an O365 fix is needed. e.g. to be able to select a new Agile project etc. with all functionality. Similar issue in O365 Build 2304 fixed by MS so there must be a way to raise this issue?
