Why is the entire project emailed when a planner comment is added?

This seems like an odd feature to have not only enabled by default but with no possibility to disable it.

Any plans to change this? the ability to notify the assignee(s) or @ tag someone I can see the benefit of, but emailing the entire project team because I have added a comment for me and the one other person working on the task seems disruptive!
