Unable to add @mentions to comnents in a Task

Yeap, this because mentioning is not a feature provided in Planner Tasks
will this feature be added?
- Even god doesn't know this
- AFAIK its not on the roadmap!

I would like to see the feature added to Task to populate a comment to another team member of the channel. is that something planned in the future release?

The fact that this thread started in 2017 and 7 years later there is STILL no way to tag anyone in Planner?? This seems like an incredibly basic & essential feature.

The link provided relates a different feature request. The question in this thread is can a feature be added so that task comments can leverage tagging people as a mention.
