Tasks with hours

hello, In our company we are users of Office 365 and we want to manage projects through Planner. However, there is a very important feature that I think is missing, there is a way to control the time in hours that a project is taking to be developed. There is a kind of timer that starts, pauses and stops. In other words, we need to know at the end how many hours a project took. Is there a way to find out in Planner? As? From what I know, it is only possible to define an end date, a deadline. But as we can work on different projects on a daily basis, we end up not knowing how many hours a given project took. I appreciate the help.

  • Hi Patricia, unfortunatley basic plans don't support the concept of effort, but if you upgrade to a premium Planner license, Plan 1, then this does give you access to premium plans, where you can record effort expended as well as duration.  It does not have a timer as such, but you can plan and record the effort in hours that your project should/did take.  It also allows you to set a baseline for comparison and shows history of any changes to the task.

    Best regards,
