Tasks associated with goals don't appear in My Tasks
I'm not sure what environment you're in, but I'm in a GCC tenant. I've been dealing with this for the past month. I came across a community question about this from last year (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/5491897/tasks-from-premium-plans-do-not-show-up-under-my-t) and it seems at that time there wasn't the capability to do that within the GCC environment. I haven't been able to find anything for the past couple of hours that points to it being on the roadmap for Planner in GCC. There's workarounds recommended (Power Automate tasks, notifications, etc), but it doesn't look like it's a thing right now. Unfortunately.
Associating a task with a goal should not, by itself, exclude an assigned task from My Tasks. Microsoft’s current feature comparison says Premium-plan assignments appear in Assigned to me and Microsoft To Do when the assignee is also a member of the Microsoft 365 group associated with the plan. Check that condition first for every affected person; being named on a task is not sufficient if group membership is missing. Then verify that My Tasks has no source, status, or date filter hiding the work and that each assignment resolves to the correct organizational account. Create two temporary tasks in the same affected plan, assign both to one confirmed group member, and associate only one with a goal. Compare their appearance and notification behavior after synchronization. If only the goal-linked task disappears, preserve both task IDs, plan ID, license details, screenshots, and UTC test time and report it through Microsoft support as a reproducible Planner defect. Recreating six plans should not be the first remedy.
