Sync issue between Planner and New outlook

Currently, Microsoft Planner and the new Outlook calendar do not support dynamic two-way sync. When you add a plan to your Outlook calendar, it creates a static snapshot so changes made later in Planner like adding, editing, or deleting tasks won’t automatically reflect in Outlook

I have this issue, as well. I have had to delete the ical link and then "add to Outlook" from Planner each time there is a change, or the planner tasks never sync. Pretty much makes the Outlook feature (if you can call it that) useless.
