Revert to old Planner?

We just got done training our entire organization to use Planner. Specifically the "Assigned to Me" functionality to allow users to see tasks from the 20-30 projects each are working on. Allowing user's to see these tasks to be sorted into due date buckets was the main driving factor behind the decision to move all projects onto sharepoint and use the task system.

We're actively working on bringing the board view functionality to My Tasks and Assigned to Me. You can keep track of updates on timing in both the Planner blog  as well as the Planner roadmap. .     Why was board functionality removed in the first place? Was there widespread reporting of that UI element being detrimental to operation? STOP removing/changing UI and functions just for the sake of it.  Our SaaS prices keep going up, but the quality of product keeps going down.
