Restricting Edit Permissions in Microsoft Planner
Hi,
Unfortunately Planner does not support that scenario. I will recommend you to take a look to Project on the Web and the different SKUs they have so you can review it can/can't meet your requirements

Yes, Project on the Web is the last evolution of Project: https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/office/what-is-project-for-the-web-c19b2421-3c9d-4037-97c6-f66b6e1d2eb5 and https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/office/what-can-you-do-with-project-for-the-web-b30f5442-be5f-43d2-9072-c95bff778ea1- Delboy_23Sep 23, 2024Copper Contributor
jcgonzalezmartin Hello, Does anyone know if this issue has now been resolved with Microsoft planner with regard to the locking off of the tasks in planner, to enabling only certain individuals having permissions to change tasks? . The issue is that anyone changing the task information can easily affect the overall timing of a project without it being noticed until later on. Any updates on this issue would be appreciated

Hello all. Further to my earlier posts above, has planner now moved on such that tasks durations/ timings can be locked so that only administrators can make changes.?? This is a significant flaw in microsoft planner software for project related tasks.. Any updates on this issue would be appreciated..
