Planner vs. TFS
would be same functionality like in Team Foundation Server availalbe in Planner e.g. Kanban Boards with configuration in swimlanes etc.
Reiner, you can check the features the are comming to Office 365 (and of course Planner) int the Public Roadmap. http://fasttrack.microsoft.com/roadmap
You can also make a feature request in User Voice for Planner - https://planner.uservoice.com/forums/330525-microsoft-planner-feedback-forum. You can already find some Kanban requests there.
