Planner Premium + Power Automate
Not sure if others have experienced this as well, but I am having trouble accessing my planner premium plans in power automate.
I’ve come to learn that the Planner actions in power automate do not support planner premium. Instead, the Microsoft Project actions, which are far less useful, support Planner Premium.
I was really hoping to use planner premium and power automate together, and so far am deeply disappointed - especially after having waited for my companies admin approval for the tool.
Anybody have an workarounds?

Using Power Automate, I could get the plan id through Outlook > Groups > Click on Group > Click Planner
but the plan has a basic(?) plan webid address and this is where my tasks are going not to the premium plan create 1st.
syntax: planner.cloud.microsoft/webui/plan
& then the Power Automate creates the task here instead of in Premium, so this is why I see the Automate flow appear successful. It is it is just not going to plan created.
Note: the group was created when I create the premium plan, below:Below is the original plan and it is ignored by the Power Automate.
syntax: planner.cloud.microsoft/webui/premiumplan
--no tasks are created here. they get created in a separate plan and separate URL even though you can select Premium name from Power Automate; it creates a different URL (with/without premium options???? remains to be tested)

New update: to above.
The solution temporarily opens up "comment" field which works with group as desired, but then if you want any of the other features of premium, like moving rows, subtasks etc it has to be premium plan.
By click the ... and click any action, Planner will prompt to convert to premium plan: this works, however when you do you lose the comment field again but have all the other features missing from basic are now there........ frustrating. And for whatever reason, the group created for the project, no longer has individual channel status, so the group cannot act like its own channel. Another ticket to be added with Microsoft.

I'm having the same dilemma with creating workflows. Following in case someone comes up with a solution.

We're having the same problem with not being able to connect Power Automate to Planner Premium boards for things as simple as using a workflow to create or update a task on the Planner Premium board. Has anyone found any solutions or workarounds for this?
The workaround is to use the Project Schedule APIs that are documented under Dynamics 365 Project Operations. Because ultimately Planner Premium uses the same scheduling engine as MS Project. I've written about this here: https://www.perspectives.plus/p/microsoft-planner-and-the-revenge-of-ms-project

I have an open ticket with Microsoft regarding this issue but they are taking a long time to give me any information. We've lost a lot of functionality after upgrading to premium.
The secret to using Power Automate cloud flows on Planner Premium plans is in understanding that they are fundamentally Project for the Web projects. See this thread for a solution.
In case you want to understand why the Premium plans behave so differently compared to Planner Basic plans, check out this article I wrote about the topic.

Planner P1 (premium) is a total different solution than Planner that is part of Teams. Planner Premium uses Microsoft Dataverse. The Planner Action in PowerAutomate won't work with Planner P1 Premium. You need Project Online Action.
