Planner default view
Is there a way to set the default view from 'Group by bucket' to 'Group by Progress' It used to be this way, but now defaults to 'Group by Bucket' which is a bit annoying
Hmm, on the Planner's Board View in the upper right, there's a "Group by" pulldown menu, which has Bucket and Progress. Not sure when it was added, as I'm a relatively new user.
The issue is it can't be set as a default
- Once it's set to Group by Bucket, it stays that way. Between browser sessions, restarts, via different computers, and for different users. I use mine frequently now, and never have to switch it. So, the notion of "default" is passe, just as with the windows printer setting. Your app leaves it where you set it.
EM_Ongweoweh I think you missed the point. Group by Bucket is the default so naturally it will always stay that way. Switch to Grid view and see what you get. Once you reboot - it goes back to Group by Bucket. What this thread is saying we want the default to be what we want it to be - anything OTHER than Group by Bucket.
I need a default grid view because I really don't have the time and patience to be fielding questions all day about it. My job is to make things easier for my team, not add more steps.
- Hmm, I guess your actual point is that the Board is default, not the Grid. Within the Board, the Group By setting stays where you leave it.
If the *one click* to go from Board to Grid actually tests your patience and the abilities of your "team", then maybe looking inward is the better route.
