Members deleting tasks and mentioning in comments

Why the members added to a plan can delete the tasks? I am pretty sure I am the owner of the task and no other owner is added, others are only members but they can delete the tasks of the whole plan as well.

Also, there is no provision to mention someone in the description or in comments to notify them of the changes. I see some of these issues have been open for quite some time, will these be addressed or do we need to move to other planners?

    Hi Sai_Kumar_Gandhi,

I acknowledge your concerns and will address them individually:

    1. Task Deletion: Unfortunately, preventing group members from deleting tasks in Microsoft Planner is currently not feasible. Even adjusting permissions does not hinder members from deleting tasks.

    2. Mentioning in Comments: Microsoft allows the use of @mention in comments for tagging someone for feedback. While task history is tracked through interactions and reassignments, this feature may not consistently work as expected.

If you would like to you can send a feedback request to Microsoft in Microsoft Planner:

    - Click the Settings icon

    - Under "Planner" click "Send Planner feedback".

    - This opens "Send Feedback to Microsoft"

    - Click on "I have a suggestion"

Or you can leave your feedback, idea or feature request directly at Microsoft Feedback Portal:
