Managing a Team in Planner

I'm looking at Planner as a possible replacement for Asana.  One thing I can't figure out is how to see all the activity of a particular team member.  We might have 50 small projects going at once that are ongoing.  My team is scattered throughout them.  I want to be able to look at one persons tasks and their status.  In Asana I just search for the person and all tasks are presented to me from all projects.  I save that search and review it with them each week.

Can something like this be done in Planner?

Certainly there are third party apps available that was built using Graph APIs which offers great reporting capabilities for Microsoft Planner.
  • Planner does not provide this consolidated view per user across all the plans he/she belongs to...what you could try to use is create custom reporting by means of the Graph API
