Is using Planner for tracking OKRs a good idea?

Planner is fine for the task side of things, but I wouldn’t rely on it as the actual OKR layer once you’re rolling this out across teams.
That separation has worked better for us too: keep execution where people already work, then connect that work to a proper OKR system for rollups, progress tracking, and company-level visibility.
If your teams also use Microsoft Azure DevOps, Oboard OKR software is a great choice, and we use it internally. It now has an integration that connects the work happening there directly to OKRs, which helps avoid the manual reporting problem you’re already running into with Planner.
