Is there any way to connect Planner tasks to OKRs or company goals?
We use Planner for task management, and there's no native way to tie a Planner task to a higher-level goal. I looked into Power Automate but the Planner connector doesnt have a field for "parent objective" or anything like that. Are other orgs just using spreadsheets for this? Feels like there should be a better way.

The Viva Goals retirement is part of why this feels harder than it should. There's no real native OKR layer in M365 right now to tie anything up to. Planner alone doesn't support hierarchy, and the workarounds (labels as parent-OKR tags, pushing data into a SharePoint list via Power Automate, joining it in Power BI for reporting) do work, but they're brittle.
We switched from Viva Goals to another native alternative called Teamflect when the retirement was first announced and we later discovered that we could sync our Planner tasks with it, and connect them to our OKRs in Teamflect. I’m sure there are other native alternatives but for us, this one worked out. Please mark this response as a solution if it helped.
