Email Notifications for Comments on Planner Tasks

lukebeckman It is not possible to notify only the task assigner. The task comments gets posted in the respective group mailbox and hence all users who subscribed for the notifications will receive it in their inbox.
After 2.5 years, I hope there are plans to update this basic feature, is this the case? Notifying the owner and assignees when comments are published OR, at a minimum, being able to tag to notify is a very simple and necessary part of any PM software.
As Microsofts own documentation puts it:
"Whether it’s communicating updates, coordinating schedules, or asking for clarification, the ability to discuss tasks with your team is integral to a project’s success."
