Creating an Office 365 group and SharePoint modern did not create a planner

I created an Office 365 group and a SharePoint modern Team site, but none of them created a new plan inside the Planner? unless i manually do this and link the plan to exsisting group.. so can we automate this process? so when an Office 365 group is created to create a new planner behind the scenes ?

Thanks

  • Creating an Office 365 Group or a modern SharePoint site does not automatically generate an associated Planner plan, as Microsoft keeps these services separate to give users control and prevent unnecessary plans. However, you can automate this process using Power Automate or scripts leveraging the Microsoft Graph API: by setting up a flow triggered when a group is created, you can automatically create a Planner plan linked to that group behind the scenes. This requires administrative permissions and solid governance to avoid uncontrolled plan sprawl but enables smooth and consistent integration between Office 365 Groups and Planner.
