Board View Missing for "My Tasks"

Coming back early 2025, as per our Message Center post MC887371

Dear Brian-Smith,
Not very nice to remove the very main purpose of a cross projects tool. List view is just horrible for that purpose.
To be honest, I almost don't use Planner anymore since your October update, having to switch from Project to Project is very restrictive and does not offer a global view when handling multiple projects.
However and at least we know that the feature will be back... so I guess it is a "Thank you" for that information.
I hope that until January I will not have switched to another product.
Thanks

Again, I'm sorry for the inconvenience here Matthieu_A and I hope we will keep you using Planner. Hopefully the product group will have learned from this experience and maybe for anything similar in the future we should not rely on the Message Center as the only communication route. Earlier feedback may have enabled us to react differently.

Perfect. We'll just build an entirely new method for managing our teams and their individual workloads while we wait for you to give back the primary functionality we switched to Planner for.

We continuously work with a high number of projects and work streams in parallell and we are totally dependent on having a planning software where we can clearly get an overview of all the projects and work streams in "My Tasks", i.e. "Board view". If this is not rectified within days by MS, we will need to find an alternative software solution that provides this basic feature and do not change overnight and impair our operations negatively.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience JoHr but you (or your tenant administrator) were notified 2 months ago that this was going to be the situation. If you had immediately contacted us at that time when the Message Center post went out then maybe we could have responded quicker - but at this time it isn't something we can just make happen "within days" as that is not how software development, testing and deployment works. You e-mail suggests this came as a surprise to you, so I would suggest you work with your tenant administrator to ensure you are kept informed of our messages for the software you are interested in. Planner can be used for that, as it can have a plan sync'd to the message center posts.
Best regards,
Brian

We need to get this functionality back asap!!!!
Can not believe that Microsoft could not have seen beforehand that many people are using this.

We saw before hand - and also warned you it wouldn't be there at launch. If you don't have access to the Message Center maybe get your admin to Sync to Planner, then assign you to any Planner messages that come through - like MC887371

This is the most tone-deaf response I have ever seen, but I cannot say it surprises me. Believe it or not Brian I don't read every single update about every single product I use and retain every single piece of information about it. I generally expect products I use to continue to function in the way I use them. I'm sure you were fully tuned in to every change coming in for Planner, but I was too busy doing my actual job to retain every detail of a blog post from September.
Saying ';well we warned you' doesn't make the end result any less frustrating. When someone robs a bank and they start by saying 'this is a robbery,' that doesn't give the teller any comfort.
Seriously Brian, I'm flabbergasted. Take a beat, re read what you said, and understand why you are the jerk in this exchange.
