Assign a task to a group of Team members

Question

I am using Planner within MS Teams platform. If I create a new task, I choose "Assigned to" and then chose one or multiple persons.

I would need to assign a task to group of people that are members of my Team (subgroup within a Teams group)? Anyway to do that?

I wish MS would either say "this is not our priority", or actually work on it. This feature has been requested since 2020 at least.&nbsp;

How is that not possible in 2024? Please take a look at what other apps have as the basics and do the same for MS apps. You are woefully behind.
