Add Detailed Task to Planner
Is there a way of adding a task directly from the detailed task view? Are there shortcuts (keyboard or otherwise) that will allow you to add a detailed task right from the main board?
As it seems, I must first add a basic tile (see Fig. 1) with only the title and assignee but I can't provide any other details. Once the basic tile is added, I then must scroll through the list and find the tile it added so I can click into the detailed task view (see Fig. 2).
Is there no way to add a detailed task (see Fig. 2) without having to go through that first basic tile?

Thanks for any tips and suggestions.

Hello jfiore,
Currently, in Microsoft Planner, there is no direct way to add a detailed task from the detailed task view without going through the initial basic tile. However, there is a workaround you can use to streamline the process:
- Copy existing task: If you have a task in Planner that already has the desired details and you want to create a similar task with the same information, you can use the "Copy task" feature. Right-click on the existing task, select "Copy task", and then paste the copied task onto the board. This will create a new task with the same details, and you can modify them as needed.
Kindest regards
