    Hi VI_Migration!

Let me start by debunking the myth that Viva Insights is a time-tracking or capturing solution. It is not. It only uses information from Microsoft Outlook and Teams to create an aggregated view of the way in which you meet and/or collaborate throughout your work week/month. It will not return a calculation of the total hours you have worked. You can read more about what data is collected and how it is used here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/viva/insights/personal/teams/viva-teams-app-privacy#how-it-works

Using that as a basis - let's see if we can answer your questions:

    1. As explained - the system is not going to capture this information. It will create an average of time spent in meetings vs. time spent focusing (which is blocks of two or more hours without meetings in your calendar) and use the time you've set as your working hours to determine time spent outside working hour's sending emails, or in chats/meetings.

    2. Working hours are defined by the individual, and if not set, the system uses a generic 8-5, Mon-Fri. You can adjust this based on your preference - here are instructions to do so: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/viva/insights/personal/use/dashboard-2#settings

    3. As mentioned above, there is no full breakdown - only aggregated insights based on average times calculated through your calendar and Teams/Outlook collaboration.

    4. As above.

    5. As above.

Also, important to note - you're welcome to opt-out of Viva Insights at any time. You can follow the instructions here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/viva/insights/personal/use/dashboard-2#opt-out-of-the-dashboard

    Hope that helps!
