'You've tried to sign in too many times with incorrect account/password'
I am continuing to get a 'You've tried to sign in too many times with an incorrect account of password' error despite recently changing my password. The only way around this is to use my cell phone address to sign in vs. my email address.
What do I need to do to 'reset' my account to not have this error message?
Thanks

It sounds like your Microsoft account is temporarily locked out because you tried too many times and failed. Don't try to log in for 24 to 48 hours, then log in once with the right information. It usually fixes itself.

I'm having exactly the same problem. This has been going on for a couple of weeks now, despite changing the password. And I can only leave this message by signing into an old email account. I have cleared all cached files etc. I'm having the same problem on my mobile phone.

I have been having exactly the same problem as CirrusSR22, for a couple of weeks. I've even changed my password, cleared cache/browser history, everything. I'm having the same problem on my phone. Waiting 24 to 48hrs isn't remotely helpful (this comment is for the Outlook Technical Team). There is clearly a problem at the technical end. Outlook email is incredibly unreliable now. I have not been inputting the wrong information at sign-in. I'm only able to leave this message by signing into an old email account.
