Wrong email account is being shown upon opening Outlook 2016

Hi I have this niggle - when I open outlook it shows the inbox for an email I very rarely use and returns the left panel to a configuration of expanded and collapsed accounts which is not useful.

I want to:

• Default to show the contents of an IMAP account which is my main account.
• Select which accounts are collapsed and which are expanded upon opening the program

I have tried changing the default account to my prefered account and it makes no difference.

I have put the inbox of the account in favorites - made no difference.

I dont want to remove the anoying account as I cant remember the password and although I use it super rarely I do want access to the archive of emails.

Help with this issue, or two issues would be greatly appreciated.
