Wrong E-Mail Adress in Contact Card - shows sip

First, my SharePoint lists are not showing in OWA :(. But when I look at my contacts I see that the mail adress of the contacts are displayed correct.
Second, I am not the only one with this issue. I can reproduce this issue in my outlook and my tenant as well as in the costumer tenants and clients.

Timo_Lenz I am having the same issue, here's a screenshot:
Interesting thing is that outlook tries to display the sip address and presence only if I open it while microsoft teams windows app is open, otherwise it displays just fine. This is definitely a bug. I've actually tried to go in the settings of the Microsoft teams app now, and it seems that the Settings option "Register Teams as chat app for office" is what's causing the issue, unchecking that option makes all the contacts email addresses display properly.
- I can confirm this behavior and the "quick" fix, too.
Do we have to report this to MS officially?
What changes for the end user if we disable "Register Teams as chat app for office"? And how could we disable for all our users?
TimoI was having this issue too and was raised in the Teams area here:

Anthony Russellin the meantime if you still need to have teams installed there is an option in setting that you can disable to fix this behavior, it's called "Register Teams as the chat app for Office". After you disable and restart outlook it should display proper email addresses for external contacts!
Also thanks for raising the issue with the Microsoft Teams team, hopefully they are able to see it. I'm sure more users are affected and maybe not realize it!
