Workaround: How to 'Delete A Category' in the People tab in New Outlook
Current State: Currently, you can create and assign a category to a contact card. However, you can not easily delete the actual Category.

(New PC hasn't landed yet). Finally got rid of the folder created by/with Phone Link - please see my post from February 14, 2024 on Outlook How to remove Category created by Phone Link app?

I Upvoted Can't delete a category in New Outlook for Windows. Not sure the OP understood the concept behind Phone Link though...
