Words(font) are broken

Hi,

I purchased Surface Pro when it was just released in 2016 and I have used this for almost 8 years now. For the past weeks, I’ve experienced very slow response from my laptop and rebooting seems to take so long. My local disk still has 22 GB space left and I’m using google drive or box cloud service to store my important documents. Today, I removed some big software to free up some space and see if it gets faster but then the laptop after a few hours just turned off with an error message and after the restart, the words (font) were all broken. I rebooted the laptop again but I don’t know why it’s happening. Is it time to change my laptop or is there still a chance?
