Why so long to fix a bug?

Marking and reading gmails in the new Outlook does not set them to read in gmail. As a result, it constantly looks like I have new messages. Need to go to gmail and mark the emails as read. I reported this many months ago. Am tempted to go back to the old Outlook because it worked there.

    Now it is July and still not fixed. The old Outlook marks email read. So MS has the technology to do this.
    Am I the only one with this problem? There are no likes or replies.
