'Update your sign-in technology before September 16th, 2024 to maintain email access'

So I received this email as well about updating my sign in technology.  I was originally told this was a phishing email and to ignore it.  But it looks like it's legit?

Anyway, I am not sure what I need to do:

I have a hotmail account.  I appear to have the new version.

I access it via the browser from my desk top

I also have the gmail app on my phone, I have added my hotmail account to this app, as well as my gmail account.  I have checked the Google play store for updates, and there aren't any, so I must have the latest version?

I also have downloaded the outlook app from the Google play store, and have my hotmail and gmail accounts added to this app

I have a Samsung email app on my phone.  This also has no updates, so I am assuming I have the latest version.  I was getting repeated requests to re-enter my password, but then it stopped, possibly when I recently got a new phone.

So, do I have to do anything before September 16, or will I be able to access my hotmail account? (at least through the Outlook app).  Any advice is appreciated, I am very non-techy.  thanks for any help.
