Hi all,
I created a supporting video about this topic, targeting non-tech-savvy users. In this video, I explained:
- What modern authentication is,
- What to expect, and
- Guide you to Microsoft’s resources
So that you can take action before September 16th.

So does simply adding my "hotmail" account to the Outlook app on my iPhone solve this issue? I was originally using it in Apple Mail on my iPhone. Is there any other action I need to take?

My apologies for the delay. The links below show users how to update the Outlook App on their mobile devices.

I had deleted the Apple Mail App altogether and simply added my email account to the Outlook App on my mobile device. Does that solve the issue or is there anything else I need to do? Do I need to download the "Authenticator" app as well?
Thanks for your help.- Teresa_CyrusAug 26, 2024MVP
You are all set. Downloading Microsoft's Authenticator is not required, but it is a best practice that adds another layer of protection.
